True Metronome is designed with your privacy in mind. We collect limited pseudonymous data to operate and improve the app, and we never sell your personal information.
App Analytics: The app sends a randomly generated analytics identifier, app version, platform, operating-system version, device model, language, session and install-age information, and feature-interaction events. These records are not linked to your name, email address, or contact information. Raw analytics events are retained for up to 90 days; aggregated statistics may be retained longer.
Practice Statistics and World Rankings: Practice time is stored locally on your device. If you opt in to World Rankings, the app sends a random device token, practice duration and date, and a country code derived from your IP address. A hashed IP address may be retained to prevent abuse. No account, name, or email address is required.
Trial Eligibility: On Android, a device identifier and trial start date are sent to our server to prevent repeated use of the free Pro trial.
Website Analytics: Our website uses Simple Analytics, a privacy-focused service that does not use cookies.
Crash Reports: We may collect anonymized crash reports through Apple's and Google's crash reporting services to improve app stability.
The Beat Detection feature requires microphone access to detect tempo from audio. Audio data is processed entirely on your device in real-time and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
True Metronome does not display advertising.
Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not have access to your payment information.
True Metronome does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
